Why I Photograph
As a mother, I've made all the photography mistakes you can think of. I've tried to take my family's photos and printed them on cheap papers and canvases to save a few dollars. Worse still, I've unintentionally hurt some of my kids through my thoughtlessness by not showcasing their interests alongside their siblings' more ostentatious ones.
I believe that beautiful photographs can lift self-esteem and reinforce family bonds. I want every child to know that they can be bold, strong, and beautiful, and no matter their interests, they are loved, valued, and irreplaceable.
